See the link above.

This is the organization that produced the pamphlets entitled: Islam and Christianity that were left inside of the level II chapel.

Islamic inmates claim that the pamphlets were intentionally left for them to find and that they find the content inflammatory and anti-Islamic. We have confiscated all the ones that we could find on swing.

SGT ---------- is looking into who brought the pamphlets into the facility.

Mr. Green,

It came to my attention today that some of your materials have found their way into our prison in Las Cruces. I am not congratulating you. It is right the opposite. This is not a good thing for a prison.

Since these materials are religious in nature, it comes under my supervision and the authority of the wardens of this prison, that such materials have not been approved, nor will they ever be approved, and they will be stopped as soon as we find its source.

If you are mailing this to a certain inmate, I am asking you to stop. It will be stopped one way or another. If you are mailing it to a volunteer who visits our prison, it will be stopped. If the volunteer refuses to stop bringing in this material, they will not be allowed into our prison.

This material is contraband and it is considered a security risk, because it contains inflammatory statements. You have every right under free press and the first amendment to the constitution, that you speak about on your website, to speak and publish materials of your political or religious views. You have a booklets, pamphlets, CDs, DVDs, etc.

However, the Jesus I have been called to serve, and the Jesus of the Bible was not aggressive. His disciples learned from Him not to be aggressive. He made the statement in the Garden the night He was betrayed when He told Peter, "Then said Jesus unto him (Peter), Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword." Matt. 26:52 (KJV). In fact, Jesus added a 11th commandment, "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another." John 13:34-35. (KJV)

Religious radicalism, in a popular view, refers to extremely violent acts in the name of religion. Extremists are willing to undertake violent acts in the service of God and have little sympathy for their victims, because these victims are the enemies of God. These radical religionists are found in many groups, including Christian groups. Some even bomb abortion clinics. How radical is that?

This is what your material is and does. It produces hate, infuriates, inflames, and escalates men to undertake violent acts. One man told me yesterday that it provoked him to think about getting into a fight and going to disciplinary segregation, because of what he read. We have enough fights in prison without materials provoking such things. Security is our highest priority. When security is threatened, we take that very seriously.

I am not speaking to you as a novice. I began taking mission trips to Latin America in 1977. I served as a missionary in Venezuela from 1984-2004, and in Thailand from 2004-2008. I have been doing ministry as a pastor/teacher, missionary, theological professor, radio program ministry, TV ministry, sales and marketing for Christian publishing, consultant, trainer, recruiter, counselor and Chaplain for nearly 50 years.

I am a trained missiologist. A missiologist is a specialist who studies and is trained in the science of missions. Missiology is accomplished at the intersection of the gospel, the culture, and the church. It is a multi-disciplinary study that incorporates theology, anthropology/sociology, and ecclesiology. I have seen tens of thousands come to faith in Christ. I have baptized thousands. I have worked with Muslims since 2000. I know places in the world, in one nation, where more than a million have come to faith in Christ and follow Him. None of that happens with the methods you describe. It is a different method.

"We are living in the midst of the greatest turning of Muslims to Christ in history."

This book A Wind in the House of Islam is written by one of my former bosses who I worked under in Asia. He is one of the leading authorities on reaching Muslims for Christ. I would highly recommend you get the book

Thank you for understanding our security concerns.
